2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV Set for New York Auto Show Debut

Cadillac will reveal the 2021 Escalade ESV at the New York International Auto Show in April, a brand representative told MotorTrend at the reveal of the shorter, 2021 Escalade. As in previous iterations of the American luxury brand’s flagship SUV, the Escalade ESV will feature a longer wheelbase and greater overall length compared to the standard model. Thanks to a digital reveal of the model on Cadillac’s website, we’re able to see how the latest Escalade’s styling translates to the bigger ESV.

How much longer is the ESV be relative to its smaller sibling? According to Cadillac, the larger Escalade model casts a shadow 226.9 inches long and sits on a 134.1-inch wheelbase. Those figures best those of the standard Escalade by 15.9 and 13.2 inches, respectively. That’s none too surprising, given the 2021 Chevrolet Suburban and 2021 GMC Yukon XL utilize the same underpinnings and wheelbase as the ESV.

Size aside, little else separates the Escalade ESV from the run-of-the-mill Escalade. That means ESV buyers can look forward to the same, massive curved OLED infotainment screen inside and a burly 6.2-liter V-8 engine, or turbo-diesel 3.0-liter inline-six, underhood. Look for photos of the 2021 Cadillac Escalade ESV to turn up closer to the model’s formal debut in the Big Apple.
