Answering a question no one ever asked
One of the great things about the internet is that if you have a car-related question, it’s easy to find an answer. For example, if you want to know how to replace the window regulators on your old E39, it’s easy. Just head to YouTube, find a video that shows you how, and follow the instructions. Do you want to know what trouble spots to look for when buying an R107? In a few minutes, you can be reading a detailed buyer’s guide.
But what if you want to, I don’t know, figure out how much fishing line it takes to lift a car off the ground? Believe it or not, the internet has the answer for you. Because of course it does. It’s the internet.
The answer to this particular question comes from Beyond the Press, a side project for the host of the incredibly popular Hydraulic Press Channel. He had a fork lift. He had a car. He had a ton of fishing line. Obviously, he needed to figure out whether or not he had enough fishing line to lift the car.
Check out the video below to see how much it took. Sure, it’s a little dumb, but it’s also surprisingly entertaining.
